Overview

EECP (Enhanced External Counter Pulsation) is a non-invasive treatment for patients with chronic stable angina or heart failure. It uses inflatable cuffs on the legs to increase blood flow to the heart.

Procedure & Process

  • Cuffs are wrapped around your calves, thighs, and buttocks.
  • The cuffs inflate and deflate in sync with your heartbeat (ECG synchronized).
  • This pumping action increases blood supply to the heart muscle.
  • Treatment is usually 1 hour per day for 35 sessions.

Benefits & Recovery

  • Reduces angina frequency and intensity.
  • Improves exercise tolerance.
  • Non-surgical and medication-free mechanism.
